Project description
The Rustrel dam, located in Vaucluse, is a Class C structure consisting of a 195,000 m³ reservoir, an embankment dam, and a concrete spillway.
As part of its regulatory compliance, the project owner has launched a modernization project aimed at strengthening the hydraulic safety of the structure against extreme floods. The operation involves adapting the flood discharge system to meet the requirements applicable to classified dams, increasing the capacity from handling a hundred-year flood to a thousand-year flood.
The project thus includes the creation of a new spillway channel designed for a flow rate of 80 m³/s and a return period of 1,000 years, ensuring better protection of the structure and the territories located downstream.
Services provided :
- Carrying out the complete project management (AVP, PRO, ACT, VISA, DET, AOR), from design to completion of the works.
- Creation of a physical scale model on the LMH hydraulic platform of the SCP to validate the behavior of the flood spillway and the hydraulic performance of the project.
- Conducting geotechnical engineering tasks (G1, G2-AVP, G2-PRO, and G4) to ensure the safety of the design and execution of the structures.
- Preparation of the regulatory dossiers required for the authorization and execution of the works.
