Project Description
The project focuses on the modernization of the management of irrigation infrastructure in the Dagana perimeter, in the Saint-Louis region of Senegal. Operated by SAED, this extensive network relies on numerous intake structures distributed along the Senegal River, whose remoteness complicates daily monitoring and operation.
In order to improve the performance and reliability of the service, the project aims to deploy a remote management and transmission system that allows for the remote supervision of the main hydraulic structures. The data collected in real time facilitates the early detection of malfunctions as well as the secure remote control of certain equipment.
This approach also contributes to improving the hydrometric monitoring of hydraulic channels and irrigated areas, allowing a more efficient management of water resources. The information collected is ultimately utilized to establish reliable hydraulic assessments and to strengthen decision-support tools for the management of structures.
Services Provided:
- Carrying out the diagnostics of the study sector (DIAG) and analyzing the needs of the various system users.
- Defining the architecture and the remote management and remote transmission equipment necessary for monitoring and controlling the facilities (APD).
- Preparing tender documents and technical specifications for the implementation of the equipment (DAO).
- Monitoring the execution of the works and the acceptance of installations, from the DET phase to the preliminary operations before final acceptance (OPR) and the acceptance of the developments.
