Project Description
The Eyguières small hydroelectric plant project is part of an initiative to enhance the energy use of the irrigation infrastructures of the Craponne canal. Developed within the framework of a partnership between the ASCO of the Crau irrigators, owner of the canal, and the SCP, its purpose is to produce renewable energy from the existing hydraulic network head differences.
The development includes a water intake, a large-diameter penstock, and a technical building housing the production equipment. With an installed capacity of 1.5 MW, the facility can turbine up to 15 m³/s and produce approximately 5 GWh of renewable electricity per year, thereby contributing to the energy transition of the region while enhancing the existing water uses.
Services provided:
- Execution of the general project management assistance mission, from the preliminary phases to the completion period.
- Support in defining the program and initiating pre-operational studies.
- Assistance in the awarding and monitoring of design, study, and intellectual services contracts (SPS, technical control, insurance, etc.).
- Coordination of communication actions related to the project.
- Support to the project owner on specific studies, notably the initiation of the in-depth survey of the Plan du Pont dam.
