Project description
The Eyguières small hydroelectric plant project is part of an initiative to enhance the energy value of the Craponne irrigation canal, jointly undertaken by the ASCO of the Crau irrigators and the SCP.
By harnessing the existing hydraulic potential of the network, this facility allows to produce local renewable electricity while preserving the agricultural uses of the canal. The development includes a water intake, a large-diameter penstock, and a technical building dedicated to production equipment. With a capacity of 1.5 MW, the plant utilizes a flow rate of 15 m³/s under a head of 12 meters and generates approximately 5 GWh of renewable electricity per year.
Services provided:
- Carrying out the project's design studies, from the preliminary design to the detailed technical studies of the structures (intake, penstock, and hydroelectric plant).
- Management of regulatory and environmental procedures, including the impact study and support for the public inquiry.
- Preparation of tender documents and oversight of the execution of the works, from the consultation of contractors to the supervision of work execution.
- Project management assistance to ensure proper coordination of stakeholders and the achievement of technical, regulatory, and operational objectives.
