Project Description
The Alpilles Regional Natural Park has initiated the revision and implementation of its Intermunicipal Brush Clearing and Forest Management Plan (PIDAF) in order to strengthen fire risk prevention across its territory.
This program unites 16 municipalities (Maussane les Alpilles, Mouriès, St Rémy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence, Aureille, Eyguières, Eygalières, Lamanon, Sénas, Orgon, St Etienne du Grés, Mas Blanc des Alpilles, Tarascon, Fontvieille, Le Paradou, and St Martin de Crau) around a common strategy aimed at improving the protection of populations, natural areas, and infrastructures against the risk of forest fires.
Over a three-year period, this support has helped to promote coordinated management of the interfaces between natural, agricultural, and urbanized areas. This approach is part of a broader effort to preserve the emblematic landscapes of the Alpilles while strengthening the territory’s resilience to natural risks.
The services provided by SCP:
- Development of the annual program for new work and maintenance.
- Technical and administrative preparation of grant application files.
- Facilitation of the PIDAF process, ensuring the technical and legal components.
- Facilitation and assistance to the project owner to enable the monitoring of operations.
- Carrying out legal assistance actions, as defined in the various tasks of facilitation.
