Project description
To improve the performance of its irrigation system and sustainably preserve water resources, the ASA of the Peyrolles Canal has launched a large-scale program to modernize its infrastructure. The SCP is responsible for delegated project management and financial oversight of this €4.675 million operation, covering 300 hectares of agricultural land.
The project involves transforming the historic gravity irrigation networks into more efficient and water-saving equipment. The developments include creating or adapting pumping stations, redesigning the intakes on the main canal, and installing pressurized and low-pressure pipe networks.
The old open-air canals supplying farmland are gradually being replaced by modern infrastructure that allows for more reliable, efficient, and better-adapted water distribution for current agricultural practices.
This modernization aims to reduce water loss, improve operational comfort for irrigators, and strengthen the sustainability of the irrigation system. It also helps secure the water supply for farms in the face of growing challenges in resource management and climate change adaptation.
Services provided by SCP:
- Operational, administrative, and financial management of the project, from launch to commissioning.
- Coordination of all stakeholders and management of the schedule to ensure compliance with objectives, deadlines, and budget.
- Management and monitoring of study, project management, and construction contracts, with technical and financial control of the services provided.
- Securing and managing the project's financing, ensuring budgetary monitoring.
- Support for the ASA in its relations with partners and funders, facilitating interactions with State services, financing organizations, and concessionaires.
