Project description
The Regional Development Companies involved in this partnership provides technical support, expertise, consulting, and training for the benefit of the SAED (The National Organisation for Development and Operation of the Delta Region).
Support to the SAED covers the following areas: management of public investments in rural development projects, sustainable and shared-cost maintenance of hydro-agricultural infrastructures, irrigation water supply and invoicing methods, the creation and evolution of information systems, policy regarding the management of rural areas and land tenure, agricultural and rural consulting, and strategies to encourage private entrepreneurship. Each area shall be subject to regular assessments.
Services provided:
- Experience sharing, training, transfer of tools and know-how on corporate strategy, project ownership and monitoring of operations, and management of infrastructure, water, and the environment
- Studies and investigations
- Organisation and delivery of participatory workshops on the transfer of infrastructures to water users’ associations
