Project description

Since its commissioning in 1971, the structure (36.6 m spillway – 7 m drop height) has suffered numerous damages and has undergone multiple reinforcement works. Despite these costly works, carried out under particularly difficult conditions, the dam and the counter-dam were in a severely degraded state.

Following a comprehensive diagnosis by SCP demonstrating that the profile of the thresholds was not adapted to the hydraulic conditions of the river, SAPHIR launched a comprehensive renovation and reinforcement program for the structure for an amount of €10 million.
